Irish Craft Canning to double canning capacity

The Bevcraft Group has taken delivery of two new mobile canning lines from Vigo Limited to its Irish facility in Mullingar, Co. Westmeath.

These two new canning lines will be operated by the Group’s Irish Craft Canning mobile canning service which provides an on-demand mobile contract canning solution to the Irish craft beverage sector.

The ABE Craftcan35 lines were custom manufactured by American Beer Equipment in Nebraska, USA and further modified by Vigo Limited in Devon in the UK.

To meet demand, Irish Craft Canning has over recent months been operating 24 / 7 working patterns. The new lines will enable Irish Craft Canning to bring production back to regular working hours whilst at the same time offering much greater flexibility, service uptime and capacity options to the craft beverage industry.

Collective Irish Craft Canning will now have capacity of over 1m cans per month with 250ml, 330ml, 440ml & 500ml capabilities.

Commenting on the importance of the Bevcraft Group’s capacity growth, Darren Fenton, Sales & Operations Director noted:

“We are delighted to take delivery of these new canning lines from our partners in ABE and Vigo and hope that we will be in a position to add further capacity as we seek to meet the growing needs of the industry in Ireland and the UK over the coming years”

The Bevcraft Group currently operates bases in Ireland and the UK and has a wide range of in-house capabilities including labelling, shrink sleeving, coding and canning. In addition, Bevcraft offers a full can wholesale service to the craft beverage market.
